004.
For the record, it isn't the Prefects' fault for the curfew. They don't search our packages because they want to. It's their job, people. And it's incredibly immature to cause them bodily harm because you don't like the rules right now. Not only that, but it's contradictory. What if -- Merlin forbid! -- the faculty decided to punish us even more after this? To whoever is responsible for yesterday's packages, think about someone other than just yourself!

Warded Against Professors

In other news, if you see Madame Marchand around today, say something nice to her. I think she may be feeling discouraged lately.

Thanks for saying this Minny.

You're welcome. Anything that sends my friends to the Infirmary is not okay. I do hope they find the arse person responsible.

I'm glad to hear you're on our side. We seem to be pegged for the bad guys.

It's absolutely ridiculous to blame any of you for this! Prefects decided none of the punishment and are suffering it the same as the rest of us.

It happens. People get angry and they want someone to blame. It's something that comes with the job really, although the package was hardly necessary...

I'm sorry, but it's no excuse to me. Our fellow students should know better by now. And being a Prefect is far from easy as far as I can tell. You lot don't deserve such disrespect in the slightest.

It's usually not this bad, things have just become tense lately.

Yes, that's true. It just really bothers me.

I'm glad you care.

Of course, I care.

Discouraged or overworked? There seems to be more people in the library now that term's picking up.

Discouraged. I found some letters she wrote to Professor Cronk crumbled up in the trash...

Why were you shuffling through the rubbish? Interesting. The letters implied that something bad's happened then?

[info]blondebadger

Well, it was next to the trash, actually.

They make it rather clear she fancies Professor Cronk quite a bit. But the fact that it's undelivered implies she feels she may be rejected, I think.

Or she's lacking confidence. I don't think those letters were meant to be read either way

Yes, that too. Oh, it's so sad. I wish there was some way to help her.

Yes, but that will only do so much. Perhaps some subtle hints to both of them would help go a bit further...

How lovely of you to be gossiping about the love lives of others.

I didn't mean for it to be gossip! I just thought maybe people would want to try and help cheer her up is all.

There was no need to mention it at all; you could have just kept it to yourself.

I have no opinion on it. I don't regularly meddle in the business of others.

Neither do I Surely, you have eyes, though. It's been rather obvious. And it's a bit cold hearted not to care if someone else is hurting, I think.

You’re meddling. It isn’t my business at all. I’m not going to go and possibly make her feel awkward by inquiring into her personal life, especially if she doesn’t want to talk about it. If she wants help, or to talk about her feelings, or whatever it is people do then she’ll ask.

You don't have to inquire about it. You could just be nice. Or subtle.

You have a very good point, Minny.

Private to Minny

You might want to ward when you talk about the exact situation about teachers, next time, though.

Her feelings might be hurt if she sees that students know about her crush.

Not a big deal! But everyone deserves privacy!

Oh, Merlin! I completely forgot to ward it from Professors! They never appear, I sometimes forget they can even see what we write.

Thank you for the reminder, Quinn.

All you wanted to do was try to cheer her up. Your intentions were noble.
