001.
Do the girls of the Hufflepuff dorm have any preferances for what flowers we should put up in the room for the semester? I was thinking Dahlias or Geraniums for Spring, of course, but I'm open to suggestions. I'm not the only one who will have to look at them until summer, after all! I'm thinking of putting some up in the Common Room too, if no one minds.

It's been so hard to find time to redecorate since we've arrive back. I've been scheduling more Potions study sessions for myself since I really didn't do as well as I expected on the mid-term. But like dad always says, growing things is good for the soul and so if anyone wants to join me in the Green Houses the company would be welcome!

Privated to all who are not named Frank Longbottom

If that boy has transfigured cockroach clusters and swapped them for someone's chocolates again, I not only give you permission but implore you to drag him my way by the ear.

I'm not in Hufflepuff, and I may be a bit biased here, but I vote for Dahlias.

Me either.

I can study with you for Potions, if you'd like.

That would probably be helpful, thank you. Honestly, I usually do well but I think I focused too much on Transfiguration and now I have catching up to do. Especially considering how demanding Professor Cronk is.

One vote for Geraniums then.

Well, it's a new semester. I think it's just nice to have a change once in a while. And it's fun!

That explains what he and Hugo were hiding when I checked in on them the other day. Boys. You'd think they grew up with no positive influences.

Honestly. I knew I should have been suspicious when I saw them grinning and huddled together in scheming manner in the hall the other day.

And make sure you thoroughly inspect any chocolate you might have. They managed to slip me one and I can't get the taste out of my mouth! It's absolutely disgusting!

Don't blame yourself, I believe that is their default state lately. I'll give them a talking to, and if I think Frank needs more I'll send him your way.

Ever since Hugo opened an account at Uncle George's joke shop, I've refused to accept anything edible from him, so I'm safe for now. But thanks for the warning, I am sure they're horrid. I have some pumpkin juice if you want to gargle with it.

Tulips are quite lovely, or tiger lillies.

In any case if you need some help with potions, I suppose you could come along to the dungeons tonight with me. I'm trying to simplify some healing potions.

I am neither a Hufflepuff or a girl but I would suggest forget-me-nots. Your dad and I are growing them on the muggle side of the greenhouses. They're rather pretty and easily my favorite flowers.

"When to the flowers so beautiful,
The Father gave a name,
Back came a little blue-eyed one,
All timidly it came.
And standing at its Father's feet,
And gazing in his face,
It said in low and trembling tones,
And with a modest grace,
'Dear God, the name thou gavest me,
Alas, I have forgot.'
The Father kindly looked Him down,
And said, 'Forget-me-not.' "

I don't think I could ever pick a favourite flower but forget-me-nots are definitely high on my list.
